2020-2021 Winter Recreational Program

This program is aimed at players U6-U12 to come and work on their skills during the winter. Session will take place at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody.

Groups will practice one evening per week on Tuesdays from 6-7pm with our profession coaching staff and play a pick up style game on Saturday mornings at 10:00am.

2021 Spring Recreation Soccer

Our Present: Rush Union Soccer was formed when the Georgia Rush branch of Rush National combined with Chiefs Futbol Club. Rush Union provides all levels of play for boys and girls 4U-19U in Georgia, including rec, academy, select and elite options.

Our History: Chiefs FC was established in June 2008. The goal of the Chiefs FC Recreation Program is to offer affordable participation, development and competition in an environment that is organized, healthy, enjoyable and sporting to all it's participants regardless of ability. Registration is open to anyone interested in playing the game of soccer.

Registration

To register, you must first establish an online account in our system (hosted by Sports Connect).  New players (players who are not already in our online system) will need to create an account.  Returning players can log into their existing account and do not need to create another account. Follow the instructions to continue to registration and provide family details first, then participant information.  You will receive an order confirmation email to confirm registration.


To check the status of your account once established, click on the "LOGIN" button in the top right corner of the page.  You will need to enter the username and password that you entered when you first created your account. If you cannot remember your login information, please click “login” in the top right, then the “Forgot Your Username and Password” button and enter the email address used to create the account.

Refund Policy

Rush Union (formerly Chiefs FC) has a NO refund policy, once the player has been registered on a team, with the following being the ONLY exception: the player becomes injured to the point that they cannot play the remainder of the season and presents a doctor’s note to the club.  In this case, the refund will be prorated for the remaining sessions the player cannot attend.

Age groups are consistent throughout all US Youth Soccer programs.  Requests to play down in age group cannot be honored.  Request to play up in age group will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Spring 2021 Season Calendar:
Registration Opens: November 13
Registration Closes:   February 7, 2021
Coaches Meeting:      February 16 (Team assignments will not be available until after coaches meeting)
Practices begin:       Week of February 22
Games Begins:        Saturday, March 6
4U season begins:   Sunday, March 7


The season will be set to wrap up by early to mid May depending on weather and rain out make up dates.

Practice schedules

This is dependent on the program you register for and the volunteer coach of your team.  We are dependent on volunteer coaches, so we allow them to set their practice time and location.

Recreational Soccer - Pleasantdale Park
Practices can be held at local school and church fields as well as at Pleasantdale Park .  Home games will be held at Pleasantdale Park.  Please note that ages 6U and up may also be scheduled against other local clubs and programs.

Recreational Soccer - Brook Run Park
Dunwoody teams will practice at Brook Run Park or Pernoshal Park.  Home games for teams will be played at Brook Run Park,  however away games (6U-U14) may played against other local groups. Brook Run Park will only offer recreational play from 4U-14U.

 

What will my player need?
Starting Fall 2020, ALL players ages 6U and older are required to purchase the NEW Rush Union Soccer full uniform kit.  You can order your uniform package HERE.
For safety, all players are required to wear shin guards for every practice and game. 
Additionally, all players will need to bring a soccer ball (Sizing: 6U-8U = size 3, 10U-12U = size 4) and water to practices and games. 
While we recommend the use of soccer cleats (NOT baseball), they are optional. 

This gear is available from most super-stores, sporting goods stores, or second-hand sporting stores, as well as through our uniform supplier.


Am I ready to coach my son or daughter?

One of the most important assets of our Recreation program is our volunteer/parent coaches.  We do not use paid coaching staff to coach our recreation players.  Without volunteer coaches we can't have teams!


Rush Union provides a coaching curriculum to cover your practice sessions, coaching equipment, as well as opportunities to watch our professional staff at open sessions as well as personal visits to your practice location, upon request.

Requests and Refunds

Requests for player, teammate, and coach pairings will be reviewed, but are not guaranteed.  NO refund requests will be honored once the team formation process has begun.  This includes combining girls players into coed divisions, if the numbers do not support a girls league.

Uniforms

4U TOTS do not require uniforms.  All other players, ages 6U and older will be required to wear the new Rush Union Soccer full uniform kit.  Uniforms can be purchased through our purchasing site by clicking the link HERE. (Uniforms purchased prior to the Fall 2020 season are no longer current)

The full uniform kit is $40 and includes the following:
Home Jersey: Blue/Gray Stripe
Away Jersey: White
Shorts: Blue
2 Pairs of Blue Socks
Cinch Sack

Players will also be required to provide their own shin guards.  These must be worn at all practices and games.  We suggest a ball and cleats as well, although they are not required.
