The New Pleasantdale Park

We are very proud to announce the after 8 years of dedicated work, countless meetings, hundreds of hours, and three master plan revisions the Development Project to renovate Pleasantdale Park was approved by the DeKalb County Commissioners on Tuesday May 28th.

The private-public partnership will come with a long term facility use agreement for Pleasantdale Park and a large financial investment by DeKalb County to kick off the fundraising efforts.

The "New Pleasantdale Park" will be home to 3 full size fields, and a practice field all fully lit. There will be a new playground, jogging trail, and a brand new multiuse building. The building will include concessions, bathrooms and meeting space for player, coach and referee education.

"I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this project both past and present" said Executive Director Neil McNab, "this has been a long time coming and a huge step forward for Chiefs FC and the community." He added.

The "New Pleasantdale Park" construction can begin once all the documents are finalized and a capital fundraising plan put in place. We will announce the full scope of the fundraising plan later this summer.
